ABClean partners meet in Trieste


The Triestine meeting scheduled for November 27th – 28th, 2014 has been a precious opportunity for ABClean partners to work toghether and keep in touch. Regional Government of Friuli Venezia Giulia has granted for free the Auditorium Hall of the Central Direction for Communitary Policies, where the meeting was held.

Isabel Dominguez and Silvia Pascual (Novotec – Spain), Cécile Sauvage (Equipo Humano – Spain), Mikael Fingerroos (Finnish Institute of Occupational Health – Finland), Hannah Greening and Matt Shaw (Environmental Academy – UK), Rasa Luzyte and Andrius Sipkinas (Vilniaus Jeruzales – Lithuania), Beata Swiatkowska and Kasia Kalska (Nofer Institute of Occupational Medicine – Poland), Rolf Gehring (EFBWW – Belgium), Marta Nioi, Paolo Tomatis and Sergio Sghedoni (EARA onlus – Italy) took part to the meeting.

During the second day, three external guests joined: Adriano Savoini (T&B Associati srl., expert involved in the external evaluation), Renzo Simoni (ASL n.1 ‘Triestina’, expert involved in the external evaluation), Lars Vedsmand (COWI, expert from Denmark recommended by EFBWW). Most partners prepared PPT presentations to support the exchanges and discussions during the works.

Inthe evening of the 27th, partners were invited by the mayor of Monfalcone, Mrs. Silvia Altran, for a presentation of the city and activities related to the asbestos issues, particularly the Fincantieri Shipyard ones. This presentation was followed by a cocktail organized by the city council. Welcome speeches were also held by Mr. Claudio R. Dreossi, EARA's vicepresident, Mr. Gualtiero Pin, assessor for Environment, and Dr. Lucio Gregoretti, Manager for International Affairs and European Projects.
